Movie Overview - Boy
The sprout male child, directed by Taika Waititi, is a very interesting burgeon forth made in refreshful Zealand. It follows the story of the main character, Boy, an 11 year old boy who fin all toldy gets a adventure to know his military chaplain, who has returned to find a bag of m geniusy he buried years ago. in that location were several important events in this film, but the main one was when Boy gets high on marijuana, and substantializes that Alamein, his forefather was never at that place for him or his suffer. Through this event, Boys find out of his father changes in a invalidating manner, and Boy also begins to regard as Rocky, his brother and finds responsibility and matureness within himself. The director, Waititi, uses several opthalmic and oral techniques, such as dialogue, flashbacks, non-diegetic sound and window pane of view shots to show Boys change in bearing towards his father.\nWhen Boy gets high on marijuana and sits on the bridge, he sees flas hbacks of when his mother was pregnant, and when she died. From these flashbacks, he cognize his father was never there, he wasnt there when his mother was pregnant or when she died. It was at this point that Boy realize the truth astir(predicate) his father (Alamein) and that he had created false images of Alamein all these years. This is captured perfectly by the director, Waititi, who uses the point of view shot efficaciously to capture Boy move backwards from the bridge with Boys eyes, and showed us how he felt at that moment. It showed us that Boys world turned elevation down, literally, as he arrange out the truth about Alamein. This realization of his fathers reality leads to an outburst of anger. Waititis use of dialogue shows this wholesome as Boy says Im nonhing equal you! in rage to Alamein. This shows he has finally given in to the fact that his father isnt what he thought, and in reality, Alamein is not someone to look up to.
